Resurrection needs!

John 21: 1-14 v 9 “When they got there, they found breakfast waiting for them- fish cooking over a charcoal fire, and some bread.”

Later Jesus appeared to the disciples. They had all gone out fishing at night but didn’t catch anything. At dawn Jesus was standing on the beach, but the disciples couldn’t see who He was. He called out “Fellows(Greek – Children), have you caught any fish?” “No” they replied. Then he said, “Throw out your net on the right-hand side of the boat, and you will get some!” so they did, and they couldn’t haul the net in because there were so many fish in it. Simon Peter jumped into the water, the others stayed with the boat and brought in the fish. When they got there, they found breakfast waiting for them- fish cooking over a charcoal fire, and some bread. “Now come and have some breakfast!” Jesus said. Then He served them. This was the third time Jesus appeared to his disciples since He had been raised from the dead.

“Then the disciple Jesus loved said to Peter, “Its the Lord!” John 21 v 7a

As a child of God life is full of surprises. After a frustrating night of fishing Jesus knew his disciples needed a pick me up so he provided fish for a week for them to be financially stable. He also provided food for their bodies. When has God provided for you what you needed? Our investments did well last year so we had extra money for the things we needed this year! He provided The Daniel Plan and a friend for me to work with to lose some weight and even being sick was a wake-up call to do more exercise and improve my body strength which I was able to do despite having older creaking joints! What a surprise when I was able to walk up and down stairs more easily than this time last year!

Prayer: Heavenly Father we thank you for sending your son Jesus to help us in our times of need whatever that may be. We ask for your forgiveness when we don’t see the help you provide. Please stay close to us everyday. Amen.
