Invited to the feast!                                    

 Revelations 19:1-9 v 9 “And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding feast of the lamb.”  And he added,” These are true words that come from God.”  

I heard what sounded like a vast crowd in heaven shouting, “Praise the Lord” And again their voices rang out: “Praise the Lord!” And from the throne came a voice that said, “Praise our God, all his servants, all who fear Him from the least to the greatest.” Then I heard what sounded like the shout of a vast crowd or the roar of mighty ocean waves or the crash of loud thunder: “Praise the Lord! For the time has come for the wedding feast of the lamb and his bride has prepared herself. She has been given the finest of pure whit linen to wear. ” For the fine linen represents the good deeds of God’s holy people. And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding feast of the lamb.”  And he added,” These are true words that come from God.”  

My daughter is getting married in a few weeks and another cousin is having a wedding feast at the end of the summer. We are excited to be part of both events. The bride each one uniquely and lovingly, dressed in a style all her own. I am sure the entire crowd will raise a glass to the newlyweds. I have been to larger events where thousands of people join to cheer on a baseball team or a soccer team. The sound of a roaring crowd is amazing! But nothing will compare to the clothing of the bride and the crowd praising God in heaven! Continue to do good deeds for God, and you will be invited to the wedding of the lamb!

Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for the amazing images that relate to the events in our lives that are surpassed by your majesty. Continue to fuel in our hearts the desire to do good works for you. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
