Be Glad!

Psalm 68: 1-14 v 3 “But let the godly rejoice. Let them be glad in God’s presence. Let them be filled with joy.”

Rise up, O God, and scatter your enemies. Let those who hate God run for their lives. But let the godly rejoice. Let them be glad in God’s presence. Let them be filled with joy. His name is the Lord, rejoice in His presence! God places the lonely in families; He sets the prisoners free and gives them joy. The Lord gives the word, and a host of women bring the good news. Even those who lived among the sheepfolds found treasures- doves with wings of silver and feathers of gold.

“The Lord gives the word, and a host of women bring the good news.” Psalm 68 v 11

The Old Testament has many battles and strongly states the choice that has to be made to believe in God or to run for your lives. We see the benefits of believing, in rejoicing in the presence of God. He places the lonely in families and  not only sets the prisoners free but gives them joy. The original text says a great army but, in the footnote, it says a host of women! How validating to the many women who today are spreading the word. In the security of the sheepfold, which Jesus taught us we could enter, are found treasures! Make the choice today or reaffirm what you already know and be glad in the presence of God!

Prayer:  Dear God, I know I am a sinner. I want to turn from my sins, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe He died for my sins and that You raised Him to life. I want to trust Jesus as my Savior and follow Him as my Lord from this day forward. In Jesus’ Name, amen.”
