Zechariah 12: 8-10, 13:1v 13:1 “On that day a fountain will be opened for the dynasty of David and for the people of Jerusalem, a fountain to cleanse them from their sins and impurity.”
On that day the Lord will defend the people of Jerusalem; the weakest among them will be as mighty as King David. For on that day, I will begin to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. Then I will pour out a spirit of grace and prayer on the family of David and on the people of Jerusalem. They will grieve bitterly for him as for a firstborn son who has died. On that day a fountain will be opened for the dynasty of David and for the people of Jerusalem, a fountain to cleanse them from their sins and impurity.”

Here in the Old Testament is another image of the three faces of God. God who gives us strength and power beyond our imagining. Jesus, the son for whom we grieve. And the Holy Spirit of grace and prayer. We need all these components to cleanse us from our sins and impurity. On that day signifies the choice we all must make. On this day, be cleansed by the fountain!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, open our hearts to be cleansed of their sin and impurity on this day and forever. Amen.
