Galatians 3: 23-29 v 26 “For you are all children of God through faith in Jesus Christ.”
Before the way of faith in Jesus Christ was available to us, we were placed under guard by the law. Let me put it another way. The law was our guardian until Christ came; it protected us until we could be made right with God through faith. For you are all children of God through faith in Jesus Christ. There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus. You are his heirs and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.
Everyday I break the rules. All I have to do is get in my car. As I drive around, I usually find myself going over the speed limit. I really do try especially with the new signs in towns that tell you what speed you are doing as you approach, speed cameras in school zones and me being aware of the problem. But it still happens, I am late, I am distracted by my own thoughts, it’s a lovely day the road is large and straight and there are few cars around. God realized that as humans just following the rules is very difficult. Throughout the Old Testament very Godly people broke God’s rules. As we teach our children the rules and to say sorry, we as children of God have to say we are sorry. However, Jesus was also sent for us so that we could have faith in Him and thus be right with God. He broke down all the barriers, religious differences, manmade differences in status, and sexuality. For you are all one in Christ Jesus. Live today, as one by your faith in Jesus Christ.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for sending your Son to the world so that all could be enclosed in your love, and by faith in Him be at peace, joyful, loving and hopeful always. We humbly ask your forgiveness when we break the rules in Jesus’ name. Amen.
