Everlasting kingdom

Psalm 145 v 11 “They will speak of the glory of your kingdom; they will give examples of your power.”

My God and King. Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! I will meditate on your majestic, glorious splendor and your wonderful miracles. They will sing with joy about your righteousness. The Lord is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. They will speak of the glory of your kingdom; they will give examples of your power. For your Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom. You rule throughout all generations. I will praise the Lord and may everyone on earth bless his holy name forever and ever.

Why do I praise God? Because we were made to praise Him and I find deep joy and peace when I do. He has kept me safe and provided me with amazing friends and family, being the one constant as I have moved thousands of miles from one place to another. His Kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. He mercifully supported me in my work for over forty years and compassionately upheld my marriage to this fortieth year. Both miracles in themselves. This week a tree blew down in our backyard, a 70 foot tree, damaging only a small amount of our fence, and some shrubs in our neighbors yard, a small miracle, an example of His power and a reminder that we have to look after the world in which we live however busy we are with other things. I will praise the Lord and may He bless everyone on this wonderful earth.

“The Lord helps the fallen and lifts those bent beneath their loads.” Psalm 145 v 14

Prayer: Heavenly Father who connects with us through a loving heart, forgive those who challenge your majesty and be slow to anger with those struggling to choose your way. May your will be done on earth this day and always as we look to your everlasting Kingdom. Amen.
