Your God!

Deuteronomy 10:17-21v 20 “You must fear the Lord your God and worship Him and cling to Him.”

For the Lord your God is the God of gods, the Lord of lords. You must fear the Lord your God and worship Him and cling to Him. He alone is your God, the only one who is worthy of your praise, the one who has done these mighty miracles that you have seen with your own eyes.

Fearing God in the biblical sense is more about having a deep respect and awe for a divine being rather than being frightened. After all He created the earth and all things in it. How great is that!! It deserves our worship! And in this passage, we are also encouraged to cling to him. We have had lots of company around this past week, and my youngest grandchild has clung to my daughter especially at the end of the day when he is tired. Your God is there for you to cling too wherever you are whatever you are doing! How awesome is that! Let’s make sure today we are living in the way that God wants us too. After all He is your God!

Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for all the wonderful things that make up our lives. For the family and friends that support us, for the wonders of this world that sustain us, for your love that surrounds us. Amen.
