There are times when we all need a break. This week there will be no online worship, as we encourage CrossWalk Friends to enjoy the summer weather and a break from routines, but it will be returning next week . Take the time today to do a personal reflection on the verse below:-
Romans 5 : 17 ” For the sin of this one man Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and His gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ.”
Journal on gifts, something given as a sign of love or respect. Write about a gift you have given and a gift you have received.
When I first read this passage I did not like the reference to Jesus as a man. Then I realized that He is fully man, and fully God. This is a reminder that Jesus too experienced what it was like to be human. As we often hear in a communion service, Jesus is ” The gift from God, for the people of God”
Write a prayer using the words “wonderful grace” and “gift of righteousness”
Sit quietly and repeat the words: God is good, God is, God! for a five minute meditation.
