Colossians 1: 1-14 v 10 “Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while you will grow, as you learn to know God better and better.”
We are writing to God’s holy people, who are faithful brothers and sisters in Christ. May God our Father give you grace and peace. We always pray for you. This same Good News is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of His will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while you will grow, as you learn to know God better and better. We pray you will have all the endurance and patience that you need. May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father, as you live in the light, rescued from darkness.

Paul is writing from his heart, directed by the Holy Spirit, as he opens this letter in the New Testament to the people in the city of Colosse. I too write this blog post to faithful believers. With a heart directed by the Holy Spirit. When I feel joy as I write the words, I know I am doing want God wants. The power of the Scriptures to teach us, to help us grow comes from God. In the crazy muddle on my desk my bible is in the middle and the first thing I open every day. It helps me to grow into the person God wants me to be, and for this I am thankful. It is my hope for you all too. To daily grow with God. To live in the light, to try and put Gods wants and needs into our every day. And my prayer for you today is:-
Prayer: Almighty God, we thank you for giving us the words in the bible that support us every day. To know that despite the darkness that can surround us your light will shine through, and the Holy Spirit will guide us along the path that produces good fruit as we learn to know you better and better each day. Amen.
