Luke 12: 32-40 v 34 “Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.”
So don’t be afraid little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom. Sell your possessions, store up treasure in heaven. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be. Be dressed for service and keep your lamps burning. But whenever He comes, He will reward the servants that are ready. You must be ready all the time for the Son of Man will come when least expected.
This week has been full of conflicting earthly priorities. I was juggling how to spend my time, and I became fixated on not having enough time to do the things I wanted to do- well actually I had to cancel both my golf games this week. This made everything that I had to do a chore. I wasn’t doing anything fun this week. And then this reminder from God to store up treasures in heaven! Do the work you have to do with a thankful heart, to store up your treasures rather than complaining! Sort out your priorities from God’s point of view- keep working on friendships and relationships- things that deepen them. Be dressed and ready for service, you never know who will knock on your door to receive the message that they are loved by God shown in your attitude. Be ready with your light shining today, to store up treasures in heaven, in purses that will be safe and no moth can destroy.

Prayer: Holy God we thank you for your Son who taught us to be a light in the world for others to follow. Help us to hold that lamp high for all to see and build treasures in our hearts worthy of your praise. Amen.
