Hebrews 12: 1-14 v 7 “As you endure this divine discipline, remember that God is treating you as his own children. Who ever heard of a child who is never disciplined by his father? “
As we are surrounded by witnesses, strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance, by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion! The Lord disciplines those he loves. As you endure this divine discipline, remember that God is treating you as his own children. Who ever heard of a child who is never disciplined by his father? For our earthly fathers discipline us for a few years, doing the best they know how. So, take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees. Work at living in peace with everyone.

So many events in my life over the past few months are represented here in this passage. Travelling light! With the airlines charging for each piece of luggage I am now travelling much lighter with every trip I take. The more I persevere at packing light the better I get. How does sin trip me up? Well, I still get stressed in certain situations and then get angry at those who I love and who love me! And a reminder that we do the best we know how for our own children. Telling my own children that was good for our relationship. When you are stuck with what to say in a situation words found in the bible repeated back to others is good. And our ultimate goal, to live in peace with everyone.
Prayer: Heavenly Father we thank you for your discipline that helps us endure to live in peace with everyone. Amen.
