There are many roads in and around where I live and during this season of construction there are many detours as well. When you are requested to go a different way at first it seems longer, strange and there is a sense of frustration as you drive down a new route. Family life can be full of detours too, some you plan like vacations, and some that are forced on us like road construction such as illness and accidents. Navigating through the detours of life requires patience, kindness and confidence that this too will pass.
