Stop being Angry!

 Psalm 37: 1-17 v 8 “Stop being angry! Turn from your rage! Do not lose your temper- it only leads to harm.

Don’t worry about the wicked. Like spring flowers, they soon wither.  Trust in the Lord and do good. Take delight in the Lord. Trust Him and He will help you. The justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun. Stop being angry! Turn from your rage! Do not lose your temper- it only leads to harm. The lowly will poses the land and will live in peace and posterity. The wicked plot against the godly. But the Lord just laughs, for He sees their day of judgement coming. It is better to be godly and have little than to be evil and rich. The Lord takes care of the godly.

Such simple words written thousands of years ago are as relevant to todays living as they were when they were written on paper just a few years following Jesus’s crucifixion and resurrection. Don’t worry about the wicked. Trust God and He will help you. Stop being angry. Live in peace. Jesus laughs at the wicked and so should you.  Live today knowing God will take care of you.

Prayer: Heavenly Father who made the world to be a good place for us to live in soften our hearts and help us to turn away from our rage and concentrate on things that are important to you. Amen.
