Luke 18:1 “One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should aways pray and never give up.”
This is the story about a judge who neither feared God nor cared about people. A widow who lived in the city kept going to see the judge and ask for justice concerning a dispute with her enemy. The judge kept ignoring her. But the judge finally gave in and listened to the widow because she was driving him crazy with her constant requests for justice. The woman never gave up asking for justice.

To persist in prayer and not give up does not mean endless repetition or painfully long prayer sessions. But constant prayer means keeping our requests continually before God as we live for him each day, believing that our prayers will be answered. As Christians we live by faith because we know God answers prayers.
Prayer: Dear God, we thank you that You answer our prayers. Help us to not give up and continue to pray for answers. And help us to be patient in our waiting because sometimes there may be a long wait before our prayers are answered. And help us to realize that these delays just mean God is doing what is best for us in the long run. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
