Christ, visible image!

Colossians 1:11-20 v 15 “Christ is the visible image of the invisible God.”

We also pray that you will be strengthened with all His glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father. Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He made the things we can see and the things we cannot see. He existed before anything else , and He holds all creation together. Christ is also the head of the church which is His body. For God is all His fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through Him God reconciled everything to Himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.

“For He has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness, and transferred us into the kingdom of His dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.” Colossians 1 v 13- 14

Paul’s prayer for the Colossian church was to have strength in the form of endurance and patience. How often in our week do we complain about the regular stuff that we do every day? What shall we have for supper tonight, here I am doing the dishes again, doesn’t anyone know how to drive anymore, am I the only one who wants to get to work on time! Is my best shirt I wanted to wear today in the dirty laundry? Yes, sometimes the daily grind gets us down. Today I pray for you to have endurance and patience in your everyday activities in Christ name.

Then your part is to choose to be happy, to be filled with joy as you thank the Father!

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.

He asks us to do the best we can as He, Christ, showed us the ultimate sacrifice, to lay down one’s life for others. So now, because of what Christ has done for you, reach out with endurance and patience to someone today as you journey towards representing the visible image of God, through Christ, here on earth.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for sending your son, Jesus Christ, as a humble servant who values helping others with the everyday things in life. Give us endurance and patience today as we try and help those around us in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
