Psalm 122 v 7 “O Jerusalem, may there be peace within your walls and prosperity in your palaces.”
I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord.” And now here we are. All the tribes of Israel- the Lord’s people- make their pilgrimage here. They come to give thanks to the name of the Lord, as the law requires of Israel. O Jerusalem may there be peace within your walls and prosperity in your palaces. For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek what is best for you, O Jerusalem.
Whether it is in Jerusalem or your local church, taking time to worship God with others is an important part of being a Christian. All the different people that make the journey to Jerusalem to worship there, or those that make up your church or a small study group, make the choice to be together and that is important to celebrate. Then we need to give thanks, and pray for peace and prosperity in all we do. Make the choice over the next few weeks to join with others, celebrate, be thankful and pray for peace and prosperity.

Prayer: Heavenly Father we thank you for the wonders of the changing seasons and the chance for us to make choices everyday that are best for you O Jerusalem. Amen.
