Time is running out!

 Romans 13:11-14 v 12 “The night is almost gone, the day of salvation will soon be here. So, remove your dark deeds like dirty clothes, and put on the shining armor of right living.”

This is urgent, you know how late it is, time is running out. Wake up for our salvation is near. The night is almost gone, the day of salvation will soon be here. So, remove your dark deeds like dirty clothes, and put on the shining armor of right living. Clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ.

When something is urgent without thinking in too much detail you get on and do what you have too. Someone is sick you take them to the hospital; someone has died you go visit the family, someone needs a ride because their car is in the repair shop you go and pick them up. But what about Jesus’s call to us, to follow Him? To remove the dark deeds that surround us, to put on the shining armour of right living. How come that choice is often put on the back burner? Too busy to pray, too busy to read the bible, too busy to worship our Lord? The dark deeds of a busy life surround us and encase us as we rush around, scared of the calm and the quiet. But the reminder is here for us all, time is running out, make the choice today to follow Jesus.

Prayer: Almighty God we forget that importance of honoring you and letting your light shine throughout the world. Help us to remove the dirty clothes that cover your light and today, walk with Jesus. Amen.
