Harmony

Romans 15: 1-13 v 5 “May God who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus.”

We who are strong must be considerate of those who are sensitive about things like this. We must not just please ourselves. We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord. And the scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled. May God who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus. Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given the glory. “Rejoice with his people the Gentiles.”  I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in Him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

For me, the main problem with going on a mission trip is coming home. This time it was not the abundance that we live with that overwhelmed me but sickness that makes you very selfish, and trying to insert myself back into a right relationship with family and friends. Overwhelming things happened both good and bad and trying to rush back “to normal” has still not happened. And then the light comes on with this scripture. Be sensitive to others. Build them up. Wait patiently. Live in harmony. Pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you with joy and peace as you trust in Him, through the power of the Holy Spirit!

“I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in Him.” Romans 15 v 13

Know that the harmony we want is found in the hope that God the Father, Jesus the son and The Holy Spirit is real and that they are with you always everywhere you go.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for the weaknesses of health that hold us back so that we can be patient with those around us as we walk with you daily with the hope of the harmony that you bring. Amen.
