Let all that I am!

Psalm 146 v 5: But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the Lord their God.”

Let all that I am praise the Lord. Don’t put your confidence in powerful people, there is no help for you there. But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the Lord their God. He made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. He keeps every promise forever. The Lord lifts up those who are weighed down. He cares for the orphans and widows. He will be our God, O Jerusalem, throughout the generations.

Life is full of ups and downs as this psalmist is aware. But if you hold on tight to the promises of the Lord our God life will be joyful. Not just a little but with all you have, until your dying breath. There then follows a list of those He helps. Find yourself there. Then praise the Lord with all that you are!
