Isaiah 60: 1-6 v 2 “Darkness as black as night covers all the nations of the earth, but the glory of the Lord rises and appears over you.”
Arise Jerusalem! Let your light shine for all to see. For the glory of the Lord rises to shine on you. Darkness as black as night covers all the nations of the earth, but the glory of the Lord rises and appears over you. Look and see for everyone is coming home. Your eyes will shine, and your heart will fill with joy.

There are several references in the bible to the eyes and letting your light shine through them. Another example is in the New Testament in Matthew 6: 22-23. William Shakespeare is credited with the quote” The eyes are the window to your soul.” So dwell on the goodness of God, His love for you and for the world and see what happens to your eyes, as God lets your light shine today for all to see. Whatever darkness surrounds you, dig deep into His love and let the glory of the Lord appear over you.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for the love that you have for us that allows us to look at the world with that same love. Amen.
