Lightning!

Psalm 29 v 8 “The voice of the Lord strikes with bolts of lightning.”

Honor the Lord for His glory and strength. Worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness. The voice of the Lord echoes over the sea. The Lord thunders over the mighty sea. The voice of the Lord splits the mighty cedars. The voice of the Lord strikes with bolts of lightning. The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace.

I have been watching farming shows, with lambs, calves and horses being born, then standing up within minutes. An amazing demonstration of vulnerability and strength, like our God who came as a baby, but was already wise, as he grew as a teacher. Lightning is bright, it catches our attention. As do the God moments in our days. They give us strength and we are blessed!

Prayer: Heavenly Father we thank you for the bolts of lightening that enable us to understand a passage we have read in the bible many times, for the strength of conversations with fellow believers, that highlight your ways and for the peace that comes when we listen to your majestic voice. Amen.
