Acts 10: 34-43v 41 …” not to the general public, but to us whom God had chosen in advance to be His witnesses. We were those who ate and drank with Him after He rose from the dead.”
Then Peter replied, “I see very clearly that God shows no favoritism. In every nation he accepts those who fear Him and do what is right. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. Then God allowed Him to appear not to the general public, but to us whom God had chosen in advance to be His witnesses. We were those who ate and drank with Him after He rose from the dead. And he ordered us to preach everywhere.

Next Wednesday during worship I will be presenting my story of my trip to Africa. I have been going through all my pictures in preparation for this. I was a witness to many different things and am looking forward to sharing them. Part of what we all do everyday is to be a witness. And yes, as part of Jesus’s story there were many supernatural events that are difficult to explain and wonderous to imagine but there are also everyday events. “We were those who ate and drank with Him after he rose from the dead!” Being a witness to everyday events that share God’s love is just as important as doing something that requires more time, talents and finances. What have you been a witness of this week that shows our loving God is near us always?
Prayer: Heavenly Father thank you for showing us your love is always with us as we are witnesses to many different things each day. Amen.
