Trust the Lord

Psalm 40: 1-11v 4 “Oh, the joys of those who trust the Lord, who have no confidence in the proud or in those who worship idols”

I waited patiently for the Lord to help me. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. Oh, the joys of those who trust the Lord, who have no confidence in the proud or in those who worship idols. If I tried to recite all your wonderful deeds, I would never come to the end of them. I have talked about your faithfulness and saving power. Let your unfailing love and faithfulness always protect me.

“I take joy in doing your will, my God, for your instructions are written on my heart.” Psalm 40 v 8

Waiting six years to go back to the place of my first mission trip, did I do it patiently? I know for sure that I waited for a call, have been more grounded steady in my faith by writing these blogs, joining in CrossWalk, and other different communities as I retired from work and started a degree (something we talked about when I was on that first trip). Tomorrow, I will tell you about the actual trip but today God has pointed out to me that the trust I built up around the first trip has been a requirement for this trip. That when you are grounded in faith not just good but wonderful things happen and He will always protect us. Live today and enjoy the wonderful things He has done.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, through the sadness, the worry and the doubts of this life we thank you for the wonderful things that we see as we trust in you. Amen.
