In your Sanctuary?
Psalm 15: v 1b “Who may enter your presence on your holy hill?
Those who lead blameless lives and speak the truth. Those who refuse to gossip. Those who keep their promises even when it hurts. Those who cannot be bribed. Such people will stand firm forever.
Thinking of other stories in the bible, like Noah and the ark. Only one man and his family were leading a blameless life. Job’s friends gave him poor advice, and in the wilderness, we heard complaints about food, and the building of idols as the people could not stand firm without Moses. It is one thing to know what must be done to worship God and to enter His presence it is another thing to do it. David, who wrote this psalm also had his own struggles to live a blameless life! God invites us all to worship in His sanctuary and enter His presence. Our choice is to humbly walk with God knowing that Jesus has our back when we fail, that friends will stand beside us and hold us up, and the Holy Spirit will give us the words to say we are sorry, and the heart to try again.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, who knows what is in our hearts, help us to speak the truth today and always as we stand firm for you. Amen.
