Psalm 112: 1-9 v 4 “Light shines in the darkness for the godly. They are generous, compassionate and righteous.”
How joyful are those who fear the Lord. They themselves will be wealthy, and their good deeds will last forever. Light shines in the darkness for the godly. They are generous, compassionate and righteous. They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them. They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly.

The winter Olympics are a lesson in confidence and fearlessness as the athletes face the pressures of competition whilst the world watches them, knowing that the odds of winning a medal are around 20%, and a gold 1:662,000. (Forbes data). And although we are required to give God the praise for our gifts and talents, to train hard and confidently walk with Him is also important. Do we live confidently knowing that the Lord will care for us? Be joyful and confident in the Lord’s support for you today!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for the care you give us every day. Help us to walk confidently with you as we face our foes. Amen.
