1 Corinthians 2: 1-12 v 10 “But it was to us that God revealed these things by His Spirit. For His Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets.”
When I first came to you, dear brother and sisters, I didn’t use lofty words. I came to you in weakness- timid and trembling. And my message and my preaching were very plain. I did this so that you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God. The wisdom we speak of is the mystery of God. And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us.
When I first started writing this blog I felt a clear message. Keep it simple. Trusting in that Spirit led moment I have often re written my thoughts to reflect what God has plans for and not me. In the quiet of my home office, I feel centered and at peace and the words come. Today there are many big problems on my heart, and I am in a dilemma as to how to move forward. Is God showing me deeper secrets on which to act? Is it time to go big or go home? Then I was in a situation that required a two-dollar donation, so I was easily able to help out. What wonderful things is God preparing me to do? What is He freely giving ? Only He knows and I have to continue to listen to the bible, my fellow Christians and what circumstances are telling me.
Prayer: Heavenly Father we all come to you with many concerns on our hearts. Speak simply to us today through your Holy Spirit. Amen.
