The World!

John 3: 1-17 v 12 “But if you don’t believe me when I tell you about earthly things, how can you possibly believe if I tell you about heavenly things?”

Nicodemus, a Pharisee came to Jesus after dark one evening, confident that God was with Jesus. Jesus said” I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.” What do you mean? Exclaimed Nicodemus. “How can an old man go back into his mother’s womb and be born again?”  Jesus replied, “Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life.” “How are these things possible?” Nicodemus asked. But if you don’t believe me when I tell you about earthly things, how can you possibly believe if I tell you about heavenly things?” God sent His son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him.

The world definitely needs saving at this time! The struggle between using only what you need and exploiting all you can for your own is leading to conflict and violence locally, internally in countries and between countries. Is it an impossible dream to have peace in our neighborhoods, in our countries and in the world? Jesus asks us to do the impossible, to be reborn again. Impossible for humans to accomplish but the Holy Spirit can transform us and birth us again into a new life with Christ! A life that leads to a heavenly home. But if you can’t understand rebirth, how can you comprehend heaven? Christ was sent to save us not judge us. Together with the Holy Spirit, we can transform ourselves and those around us to live in a better world.

Prayer: Heavenly Father we thank you for sending your son not to judge us but to save us. Amen.
