Friends

 Romans: :5: 1-11v 11 “So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God, because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.”

Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Problems and trials help us develop endurance. Endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love. So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God, because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.”

Just like childbirth the memories of what was actually going on in my life are a little vague, but I remember saying to God do I really need that many trials to build me into a better person? Endurance, strength and confidence one builds on the other. And of course, God is always right. And if you are going through especially hard times at the moment, know that God truly loves us, that the Holy Spirit will guide us, and believing in Jesus has made God our friend!
