Romans 8: 6-11v 11a “The Spirit of God who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you.”
But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God. But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the spirit of God living in you. The Spirit of God who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you.
As we approach Easter week when we see life in the celebration of Jesus parading into Jerusalem, death on the cross on Good Friday, a necessary act to save us all. Then Easter Sunday the act of the Spirit of God who raised Jesus from the dead, we see that God wants us to act on His message. He demands it of those around Him and of each of us. God is also aware of our differences and our talents and does not challenge us beyond what we can do. So trust the Spirit within you and act today as God wants you to do.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for the Spirit that lives within us. Guide us today to act on your behalf with the Spirit in all we do. Amen
