John11: 1-45 v 33 “When Jesus saw her weeping and saw the other people wailing with her; a deep anger welled up within Him, and He was deeply troubled. v 35 “Then Jesus wept.”
A man named Lazarus was sick. He lived in Bethany with his sisters Mary and Martha. They sent a message to Jesus telling Him that Lazarus was sick. So although Jesus loved Martha, Mary and Lazarus, He stayed where He was for the next two days. So He told them plainly,” Lazarus is dead. Come, let us go and see him. When Martha got word that Jesus was coming, she went to meet Him. “Lord if only you had been here, my brother would not have died. Jesus told her “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never die.” When Mary arrived where Jesus was, she said, “Lord if only you had been here, then my brother would not have died.” When Jesus saw her weeping and saw the other people wailing with her; a deep anger welled up within Him, and He was deeply troubled. “Then Jesus wept.” Jesus said, “Lazarus come out.” And the dead man came out. Many of the people who were with Mary believed in Jesus when they saw this happen.

This is another story when we see both the humanity and the Godly sides of Jesus. He wept for his friend and possibly for all of us. He was deeply angry at the need to constantly prove who He was. The human side. Plainly stating that Lazarus was dead and that He, Jesus, “Was the resurrection and the life.” Raising Lazarus after being dead for four days. The Godly side. We believe that there is life after death, and that we will be in heaven with Jesus, others and angels singing His praises. Hallelujah.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for the wonders of your presence on earth seen in Jesus Christ, his humanity and His divinity. For this we praise you. Amen.
