Cleanup!

Colossians 3:1-11v 8 “But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language .”

Set your sights on the realities of heaven. So put to death the sinful earthly things lurking within you. Put on your new nature as you learn about Him and to be like Him. Christ is all that matters, and He lives in all of us.

When visiting grandchildren, they like to show you their toys and within a very short time a clean and tidy house becomes a mess of toys and books and crayons and paper. Then it is time to go, and the parents sing the clean up song. Everyone works together and the toys are back in place and the house tidy again.

Our spiritual life should be the same. As we go out into the world our desire to play with all the toys around us creates chaos. Remember the cleanup song, the spiritual practices of prayers and praise to God, that help us understand more about Christ, and you will see the Christ in others and get rid of your anger and malicious behavior.  

Prayer: Almighty God thank you for the loving example of your Son Jesus Christ. Help us to follow His example as we go about our daily tasks in the world today. Amen
