Matthew 13 1-9, 18-23v 8 “Still other seeds fell on fertile soil, and they produced a crop that was thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as had been planted!”
Jesus sat beside the lake. A large crowd gathered so he got into a boat to teach them. He told stories in the form of parables. Listen! A farmer planted seeds…….. Still other seeds fell on fertile soil, and they produced a crop that was thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as had been planted!”
Now listen to the explanation of the parable about the farmer planting seeds. The seeds represent those who hear the message about the kingdom and how they react to it. The seed that fell on good soil represents those who truly hear and understand God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!”

Some hear the message and don’t understand it, some don’t have deep roots, so they don’t last long, some are too worried about the stresses of the world and money, so produce no fruit, those who produce fruit hear and understand God’s word.
Today commit to growing deeper roots. If you find the bible difficult to understand look for a devotional that will help, grow those roots by giving yourself time to explore your faith, and give your worries over to God, worrying about life will not change it but enjoying each day will.
Prayer: Heavenly Father guide me to what I need to grow deep roots and produce abundant fruit in your name. Amen.
