More good seed

Jesus told another story with a meaning deeper than the picture portrayed of a farmer planting good seeds and someone coming at night and planting weeds. The disciples later asked Him to explain the stories deeper meaning. Jesus was the planter of the good seed. The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one. The harvesters were angels who at the end of time would sort out the believers from the non-believers.

It is a choice we all must make, to respond to the God who made us to be good seed and live in this world trying to be more like Jesus in all we do. The reward to live rather than be burned. To choose a path that helps our neighbors, loves those we meet and at the end of our lives on earth be chosen by the angels to live with them.

Prayer: Holy Lord God Almighty who cares for those who choose to be good seed help us to grow to be a part of your Kingdom. Amen
