Romans 8:26-39v39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The Spirit helps us in our weakness. Gods works for the good of those who love Him. Jesus Christ intercedes for us. Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Summer is a time to leave the comfort of our homes to venture to parts unknown to us, to be separated from the familiar. Even visiting family, places that we see once in a while, things have changed and we are separated from the memories we have of past vacations of people and places as the people age, and the dynamics of relationships change, and we feel disorientated. Turn to the Spirit in prayer who helps in our weakness, our disorientation from the familiar.
As we enjoy new experiences with those around us, we are sad as we remember those who have passed away and are now separated from us and will not be part of making new memories. Remember that God works for our good.
As we leave our comfort zones, travelling in the car, or flying on planes for longer periods than we are used to. With people who are separated from us by beliefs, by age, by gender. We are not separated from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Share that love with those we are with.
Prayer: Heavenly Father whose love cannot be separated from us wherever we travel in life encourage us today to live in that love. Amen
