Sing a new song to the Lord, for He has done wonderful deeds. His right hand has wo a mighty victory; His holy arm has shown His saving power. The Lord has announced His victory, the ends of the earth have seen the victory of our God. Sing for joy. Make joyful symphony all living things, on the earth, in the rivers. The Lord will judge with justice and fairness.
When I was a teenager, I knew all the top popular songs and could sing along knowing most of the words. Today not so much. Now I don’t recognize the artists or the songs and laugh at the lines in movies when the young say, “Paul McCartney was in a band before Wings?” The psalm today, however, reminds me of the importance of singing a new song. To include nature in our worship, the sound of rivers and the earth.
