Whoever has the Son has life. I write these things so that you may testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.”
We accept human testimony, but God’s is know that you have eternal life.
With the use of the internet you can find human testimony, opinions and beliefs, on any subject. Two things stand out for me in this passage. That God’s testimony is greater and that we know that we can have eternal life through Jesus Christ. For all of us, the biggest treat we can imagine at the end of our lives is to be with God in an eternal existence, praising Him. The brief moments of joy we experience on this earth can be ours for eternity. Death comes to us all but it is not the end of our faith journey but the beginning of our eternal life! How do we know? God said!
Prayer: Heavenly Father we thank you for the life of your Son Jesus who showed us the way to you through his life and actions on earth. The humans who recounted this life help us to understand who you are but it is your word that promises more. We give you thanks and praise for the wonder of eternal life with you. Amen.
