Jesus Prays for His disciples

John 17: 6-19 v 9 “ I pray for them , I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours.”

Jesus prays for the special people that God gave to Him , those who understood the things He told them . That He came from God and told the truth about God and they obeyed and believed. Protect them from evil as they are still in the world, by the power of your name, as they will no longer have me to keep them safe.

A loving leader, Jesus displays here a concern we should all have for those who travel with us, on the journey of life as Christians. Think today of those special people in your life that you would like to ask God to keep safe. God has chosen these special people, and as we see them obey God we rejoice.

Prayer: heavenly Father we thank you for those you have sent to help us understand your word and strengthen our belief, in Jesus’s name we ask you to protect them. Amen
