Alpha and Omega

 Revelation 1: 4b – 8 v 5b “All glory to Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by shedding His blood for us.”

Grace and Peace to you from the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come. All glory to Him, Jesus Christ, who loves us and has freed us from our sins by shedding His blood for us. Look! He comes with the clouds of heaven, and everyone will see Him. I am the Alpha and the Omega- the beginning and the end, “says the Lord God, “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come- the Almighty One”

As long as I can remember I have been excited about vacations and sad when they end. Although I am excited for the Christmas season, I mourn the loss of my parents as my Mum passed away December 23^rd, 2019, not two years after my Dad. In our lives there are many beginnings and endings like these, some happy some sad but they all pale in significance when we think of God and Jesus, the true beginning and ending. We cannot earn their love, but they gave it anyway. We cannot stop sinning, but Jesus died so that we would be forgiven. The ultimate end for each one of us is the hope of peace to come. Believe in the one who is, who always was, and is still to come, the Alpha and the Omega!

Prayer: Almighty One we ask today that you forgive us our sins and help us to walk in your love towards your peace, knowing that you are at the beginning and the end of all we do. Amen.
