1 Peter5: 1-11 v 10 “In His kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So, after you have suffered a little while, He will restore, support, and strengthen you, and He will place you on a firm foundation.”
I am a witness to the suffering of Christ. I too will share in his glory when He is revealed to the whole world. Care for the flock that has been entrusted to you, because you are eager to serve God. All of you dress yourselves in humility as you relate to one another. Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you. Stand firm against the devil and be strong in your faith. In His kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So, after you have suffered a little while, He will restore, support, and strengthen you, and He will place you on a firm foundation.
Suffering is a human condition. Just as we can choose to not believe in God, we can choose to not follow his path we will suffer due to our own making. Then there are good people who suffer too but God knows about that as well because Jesus suffered too. Others like Job, and other good people we know suffer. But in God we believe in restoration, support and strength. Give all your worries to God and He will restore, support and strengthen you. All power to Him forever!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for the support you give us when we suffer and for the eventual restoration and strength that believing in you brings to our every day worries. Amen.
