Refuge in the Lord

Psalm 91: 9-16 v 14 “The Lord says,” I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name.”

If you make the Lord your refuge, no evil will conquer you. For He will order His angels to protect you wherever you go. The Lord says” I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them.

“They will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone. ” Psalm 91 v 12

So often I feel I miss opportunities to demonstrate my faith by being kind, offering a helping hand, as I have my own agenda front and center rather than that of God. And then there is always the fear of being rejected and thought of as always talking about God, that you save your God conversations to those who already believe rather than those who are looking. This psalm speaks to reassure us that in all we do for God, He is there and will even send angels to protect us. During these days of lent let God’s agenda be with you , knowing that He will also be there to protect you.

Prayer: Heavenly Father thank-you for being there when we speak out or act in your name. For protection by angels as we walk along your path. Amen.
