Psalm 82 v 8 “Rise up, O God, and judge the earth, for all the nations belong to you.”
God presides over heaven’s court. How long will you hand down unjust decisions by favoring the wicked? Give justice to the poor, rescue the helpless. Oppressors wander in darkness, while the whole world in shaken to the core. Rise up, O God, and judge the earth, for all the nations belong to you.
Sometimes we forget who is ultimately in charge not just on earth but in heaven too. God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We whine like children, how long? Are we there yet? We see so much hardship around us as our prayers are full of needs, for healing, for rescue, for security that shakes us to the very center of our being. Rise up, O God! Sort out the earth that you created!
Prayer: Almighty God open our eyes to your greater vision of heaven and earth so that we can trust you to make all things right, as you rise up! Amen
