Psalm 112 v 7 “They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them.”
How joyful are those who fear the Lord and delight in obeying His commands. An entire generation of godly people will be blessed. Those who are righteous will long be remembered. They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them. They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly. They share freely and give generously to those in need.
The Labor Day weekend is gone and with it the relaxed feeling of summer as school invades our routines or they are changed due to the weather, or a new season of sports or activities are started. In all these changes our confidence and trust in the Lord can also change. It is therefore good to be reminded as in this psalm, that we are joyful people as we respect God and follow His commands. That when bad news comes, we can cheerfully trust that God is good, and good things will result in our lives despite the message of circumstances. Have confidence in the Lord. Face your foes triumphantly and share with those in need for you never know the influence you might bring to a situation.
