Family Fun Day

Halloween has its roots in Christian traditions, originating from the vigil of All Saints’ Day on November 1st. The English name “Halloween” comes from “All Hallows’ Eve”, which is the evening before All Saints’ Day (also called All Hallows’ Day). This Christian observance was established to honor saints and martyrs, with the following day, November 2nd, designated as All Souls’ Day to pray for the dead. Some pagan practices, particularly from the Celtic festival of Samhain, influenced modern traditions, but the holiday’s modern structure is based on these Christian feasts.

Have some fun with your family today, and let them know that Jesus shines in each one of them.
