“Come Lord and Touch our Hearts” is a song from More Voices Hymn Book. (Words & Music: Gordon Light 2002: arr. Andrew Donaldson 2002)
This beautiful hymn is asking Jesus to come and teach us things. What things you might ask? It says to come and touch our hearts that we may know compassion. Come and teach us about a kind of love strong enough to overturn injustice. Touch our souls deep enough that we may know God and love Him. Help us to know that Your quiet Presence will dispel our fears. Touch our minds and teach us to open doors of understanding so that we can welcome truth and wisdom. Come and touch us with Your grace. What an amazing world it would be if everyone learned these things that Jesus taught us throughout His Ministry.

Prayer: Jesus, our Savior and Lord, we are so thankful for these teachings. Help us to take action and touch others with compassion, love, kindness and grace. In Jesus name, Amen.
