Isaiah 49: 1-7 v 4: “I replied,” But my work seems so useless! I have spent my strength for nothing and to no purpose. Yet I leave it all in the Lord’s hand; I will trust God for my reward.”
Listen to me, all you in distant lands! Pay attention. He has hidden me in the shadow of His hand. I am like a sharp arrow in His quiver. I replied,” But my work seems so useless! I have spent my strength for nothing and to no purpose. Yet I leave it all in the Lord’s hand; I will trust God for my reward.” He said to me “You are my servant Israel, and you will bring me glory. I will make you a light to the Gentiles, and you will bring salvation to the ends of the earth. Princes will bow low because of the Lord, the faithful one, the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.”

Isaiah 49 v 4a
Whether this speaks only about the coming of Jesus or each one of us in our struggle to find our purpose. The same applies to all. God had a purpose for us all, to be a light to others. Despite what we do every day god is working His plan is us. The big picture is to trust in God and He will bring salvation to the ends of the earth.
Prayer: Heavenly God, we sometimes fall short of your purpose for us. Help us today to continue with the small tasks you have for us as you work on the bigger picture of the salvation of the earth. Amen.
