God is Watching

Psalm 1 v v6 “For the Lord watches over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.”

“Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers.” “They prosper in all they do” For the Lord watches over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.”

https://youtu.be/EUsERnPMdeo  Bette Midler “God is watching us”  I love listening to this song so I hope that you enjoy it too. She sings of the big picture, of a world living in harmony, no one hungry, being friends with our enemies, the things that God wants which from a distance look possible. We know however that the reality of everyday life is not like that. In this Old Testament psalm deciding who is “good” and who is “bad” is clearly identified. Studying God’s laws, day and night, puts people in the “good side” . Saying bad words and gossiping about others put you in the “bad” side. God is watching us, He wants to see the big picture here on earth and gives us everyday direction of how to be the best we can be to achieve this. And the rewards? To prosper and be joyful. The world today is still in a strange place of changed routines, added pressure on the health care system, and increasing conflict between the government and the people. Find joy and begin to prosper by being thankful for today, by using encouraging words to those you meet , God is watching us on our path today.

Find joy in the path you walk today.

Prayer: Holy Father thank you for watching over us and encouraging us to do what is right and to find joy in doing it. Amen

I remember when this song first came out on the radio. My children were in grades 7 and 8 and I thought it was outstanding music and such true words – THANK YOU!!!
