Hungry or thirsty?

Revelation 7:9-17v 16 They will never again be hungry or thirsty; they will never be scorched by the heat of the sun”

In this passage we see again a large group of people, too great to count, in white robes of every nation standing and shouting “salvation comes form our God” . They were joined by Angels singing “Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength belong to our God forever and ever. Amen” The people in white robes were those who died in great tribulation. However now they will never again be hungry of thirsty; they will never be scorched by the heat of the sun”

This week spring has turned into summer, and I was able to sit out on my back deck and enjoy the sun. Growing up in the UK I had no concept of a scorching sun. Hot and sunny was so rare you went out and enjoyed it. When I was off “studying” for my exams to get into university some of my peers thought I had been away on vacation as I returned for the exams with a tan, but no I had been studying outside enjoying one of the best summers on record. I have enjoyed sitting in the sun in other hot countries like Australia and West Africa although natives to both countries told me it was not a good thing to do. In Australia skin cancer is the major cause of death. Hungry and thirsty I have often been so to be rewarded by being well looked after by a strong and powerful God To have a faith in Jesus and a God full of wisdom gives me hope everyday no matter what the challenges bring. Worthy of praise as I see if others “will never again be hungry of thirsty; they will never be scorched by the heat of the sun” then why should I worry so much, and not enjoy this world and the warmth of the sun to renew my soul for all I have to do today.

Almighty Father thankyou for caring about each one of us who turns to you. May the power and strength belong to our God forever and ever . Amen.
