“ Boo”

 Acts 2:1-21v v3 “Tongues that looked like fire appeared to them. The tongues arranged themselves so that one came to rest on each believer.”

Suddenly a sound like a violent blowing wind came from the sky and filled the whole house. Tongues that looked like fire appeared to them. The tongues arranged themselves so that one came to rest on each believer.” Stunned and amazed each person started to recognize his own dialect. There were people from many different places in the crowd. “They’re drunk on sweet wine” came an explanation. However, Peter stood up and said not drunk but fulfilling the scripture from the prophet Joel” God says, “I will pour my spirit on everyone”. “I will pour my spirit on my servants, on both men and women.”

My grandchildren are loving hiding and being found, creeping around corners in our house, staying still then suddenly “boo” someone finds them and they jump startled then laugh their heads off and away we go to do it again.

I see God and the Holy Spirit coming into the world just like this game, a group of friends quietly sitting together, the suddenly “Boo” they are startled by the appearance of first wind then fire. And then they go out into the streets and explain to everyone that this surprise is for all!
