Psalm 8 v 1 “O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name throughout the earth.”
“Your glory is sung above the heavens. What is a mortal that you remember him? You have made him rule what your hands created. O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name throughout the earth.”
Sunday was not a good day for our family. There were so many stresses in each of our lives that tempers flared, tears were shed, and negative thoughts turned into silent disapproval. Not exactly the Sunday Fun Day we all wanted. Sleep was mixed after a few prayers for peace and love to abound.
This morning I was up early enough to see the red sky of the morning sunrise. It was beautiful and made me stop and look and feel the wonder of creation. The vegetable garden is growing profusely as are the flowers and the grass. I have a new herb garden along the edge of the patio and sitting in a chair in the sunshine smelling the herbs allows me to appreciate the planning that went into the making of this world. Joining with the song of this psalm reminds us “O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name throughout the earth.” “When I look at your heavens, the creation of your fingers, what is a mortal that you remember him? All of us are important to God and living in unity is important too so dust off your sandals and with our Lord by our side have a great day today.
Prayer: Loving Father as we sometimes find the stresses of our days too much to bear we thank you for the reminder through creation that you are with us. Help us to live today in your love. Amen.
