Colossians 2: 6-15 v 13 “You were once dead because of your failures and your uncircumcised corrupt nature. But God made you alive with Christ when He forgave all our failures.”
Be careful not to let anyone rob you of this faith. Such a person follows human traditions and the world’s way of doing things rather than following Christ. In baptism you were brought back to life in Christ. Through faith, and the power of God. You were once dead because of your failures and your uncircumcised corrupt nature. But God made you alive with Christ when He forgave all our failures. He celebrated His victory in Christ.
On vacation my routine was so different it was difficult to find time to quietly start my morning reading the bible. I certainly started following the ways of the world, sleeping in partly due to the different time changes, and due to this different routine. Did I leave my faith totally behind? No I was able to see God all around me in the majestic mountains, in the blue rivers, the dear, and elk, and eagles. The smell of the sea and the wonderful sunsets. Although now back home it is much easier to take time to be thankful for our God and His son, to realize the victory we have in Christ. He is always with us through all our days.
Prayer: Heavenly Father we thank you for the victory we have in Christ. Keep our faith strong despite the many changes in our days over the summer. Amen.
